Inkaterra Cabo Blanco
Peru’s newest beach resort
…is also Peru’s most sustainable beach resort!
As much as I loved my suite (you’ll see why below), it was hard to tear myself away from this pool that had the best view of the Pacific Ocean day and night.
My suite was truly luxurious in every way.
The plunge pool felt delicious on hot afternoons and I appreciated all the little touches, like the sunscreen, Turkish towels and variety of deck furniture for morning coffee and evening bonfire. Take a minute to click through all the photos above because my suite really was beautiful.
Discreet fridge & coffee maker
Hiding in the corner was a full fridge with drinks and snacks, plus a coffee maker, wine glasses and other dishes.
Sustainable toiletries
Inkaterra makes their own sustainable shampoo and other necessities with camomile and other herbs grown on their organic farm.
Meals are served in the Analua Bar & Restaurant.
Breakfast Menu
I was pleasantly surprised in the evening when I was handed the breakfast menu and asked what I would like for breakfast and when. The morning tray, at the top was a delight.
Healthy & Hearty Breakfast
At first I didn’t realize that the breakfast menu had two sides! I got the blueberry smoothie every morning and loved it, though I’m sure the others were delicious too. I also got the French press coffee every morning, which was much better than the coffee pods in the coffee maker in my room.
Lunch Menu
I loved that the lunch menu starts with which fisherman sold fish to the restaurant that day, which species of fish it was, at that time it was caught and how much it weighed.
Transparency with what fish is on the menu is one of Inkaterra’s projects to ensure local fishers get a fair price for their hard work.
You can also have drinks and snacks poolside.
The beach is right at your feet.
There’s a boutique for souvenirs and anything you forgot.
Coming soon … the Miss Texas!
Inkaterra is rescuing a fascinating bit of history by refitting the Miss Texas, the boat Ernest Hemingway bought for marlin fishing when he was in Peru. He was so impressed by fishing at Cabo Blanco that he wanted to film the marlin fishing scenes here when they made a movie of his book The Old Man and the Sea.
